Exciting insights into our office on National Future Day

On 14 November, Fanzun once again opened its doors to young talent at the Chur office for National Future Day. Under the theme «Energy and sustainability», eight pupils gained a lively insight into our everyday working life.

Roya Abel, project manager Energy / Sustainability, introduced the young talents to the topic of sustainability and sparked enthusiasm for the conscious use of energy. Practical insights followed: René Meier, head of Energy / Sustainability, presented the innovative Calinis project in Felsberg on site and explained the impressive dimensions of the solar tables – an experience that generated great interest among the pupils.

In the afternoon, the children delved into the world of civil engineering. Florian Müller, mentor for engineering apprentices, prepared an exercise in which the pupils got to draw a transformer station in CAD – the task captivated the participants so much that they spontaneously added a garage to the station.

As a grand finale, the young talents designed their own power bank designs, which were then produced using a 3D printer. The power bank was then assembled by the pupils themselves under the watchful eye of Nicolo Däppen, administrative assistant Energy / Sustainability.

The day ended with plenty of curiosity and enjoyment of energy and environmental topics. The pupils‘ motivation and enthusiasm give us hope that they will soon turn sustainable energy generation into their profession – perhaps even at Fanzun.
