Der Traditionsbetrieb ist auf Seminargruppen und Ausflugsgäste spezialisiert. Um die Wochenend-Auslastung zu erhöhen und eine besseren Scala-Effekt zu erzielen, sollte die Hotelanlage um einen Wellnessbereich ergänzt und zusätzliche Zimmer erstellt werden. Nach dem Abschluss des Architekturwettbewerbs wurde Fanzun für die Bauherrenberatung beigezogen.
The historic hotel specialises in catering to seminar groups and day tourists. With a view to increase weekend occupancy and make operation more scalable, it was decided to add additional rooms and a wellness area. Fanzun was selected as consultant following an architecture competition.
The positioning strategy was discussed and finalised with the client. The Thai Wellness Oasis is one of its kind in Switzerland. An interior design competition was held to find a fitting complement to the Thai theme. The logistics for the hotel site was developed in collaboration with the client and subsequently integrated into the project.
The Hallwil lakeside site lies in a protected area which permits limited usage options. The requirements on public access and landscape integration are high. The original competition did not include access requirements to the site. This key commercial component had to be retrospectively integrated into the project.
