Fanzun has received the final Minergie certificate for two residential building projects. The awards confirm the high standard of energy efficiency, living comfort and ecological responsibility that Fanzun, as general planner, has brought to both projects.
Minergie certification is not a one-off act but a multi-stage process. It begins with provisional certification during the design phase and ends with final certification after completion of construction and commissioning of the building, including a review of the commissioning records by the responsible certification body. The final certificate confirms that the Minergie building standard has actually been met.
IIn the village centre of Scharans, a site of national significance for townscape protection, Fanzun completed a new building with seven rental apartments. The national townscape protection status placed high demands on the design, both architecturally and in terms of building technology. The building is divided into two volumes and takes up the grain of the established village structure. It now carries the Minergie-P label, a standard that stands for very low energy consumption, high comfort and a future-proof building envelope.
On the western slope of the Loë neighbourhood in Chur, two villa buildings were completed in 2023, setting new benchmarks in sustainability. House A was certified with the Minergie-A-P-ECO label. Over the course of a year, it produces at least as much energy as it consumes, combined with the comfort standard of Minergie-P and the ecological criteria of the ECO label. House B carries the Minergie-P-ECO certificate. The fact that different Minergie standards were pursued for the two houses is due to the project-specific context and is the result of careful planning considerations.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the clients, who committed to the Minergie standard from the outset. And thank you to Minergie for the careful review and issuing of the certificates. Sustainable building needs partners like this.
